The City of Fresno has identified themselves as the Lead Applicant for the Fresno Transformative Climate Communities Collaborative proposal to the California Strategic Growth Council for $70 million in funding. A public agency is a required applicant for funds, and applicants must have experience overseeing and managing large infrastructure projects, including both financial and management capacity. Given these constraints, and the desire for strong and diverse community support and participation, the City is facilitating a participatory and open project proposal process to both propose and select projects to be included in their proposal to the state. The Community Steering Committee is responsible for selecting projects to be included in the City’s proposal. For more information about the project selection process, visit the Process page.
